I’ve been reflecting a little bit on this little project of mine that I named The Backyard Pioneer. In the past 21 months I’ve been a fairly prolific writer (I surprised myself a little bit too!). These are the Top 5 Blog Posts of mine ranked by how many visits they received.

8 Days Living With a Generator In The Aftermath Of Hurricane Sandy

This post was about our experiences living on generator power in the Aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Looking back, it wasn’t something I would want to do long term but for a few days the generator sure beats sitting in the dark.

Assembling a Get Home Bag

This is another post that had had some wheels. It was one of my first to delve a bit into Preparedness and had spawned a few YouTube videos as well. I’m pretty proud of it.

Thrift Store Knives

Some of  my posts have really caught me off guard. This one was originally just a follow up post to a few pics that Pat from Arcadia Knives sent and voila a few thousand page views!

Estwing Camper’s Axes – A Gear Review

These 2 axes still rock! I was just using the smaller of the 2 to split up some kindling for the wood stove. I look forward to many more years of using them.

Leatherman Charge TTi: Gear Review

The Charge TTi is still my go to Multi Tool. It really is a joy to use and I proudly keep it in my Get Home Bag.

Well there you have it, these are the most popular posts on The Backyard Pioneer in the past 21 months. Thank you to all who have stopped by to read a post and a bigger Thank you to all who took the time to spend a few of your hard earned cash on any of my links, it is greatly appreciated!
