EDC for Christmas Ideas

If you have someone in your life that is into EDC (everyday carry) gear, here are a few of my favorite Christmas Gift ideas that are sure to bring a smile to their face! Plus a nice bonus of giving a quality piece of gear, is that it will be used and cherished for years to come, long after a piece of consumer electronics is taking up space in a landfill.

Spyderco Delica 4 FFG

The Spyderco Delica 4 Full Flat Ground is my current favorite piece of EDC gear. It is lightweight, easy to carry, and insanely sharp! It is available in a few different colors (I got my wife the Purple one) and a great value for the money.

Spyderco Manix 2

The Spyderco Manix 2 is another great option for an EDC knife. It has the premium G-10 handle material, high end 154cm steel, and is American made. It carries well in a pocket and the ball bearing lock is as strong as they come. It is another of my favorites.

Endura 4 Flat Ground

Before the Delica 4 showed up the Spyderco Endura 4 Full Flat Ground was my constant companion. It has all the great features of the Delica 4 in a slightly larger package. The VG-10 steel takes a razor sharp edge and holds it during tough jobs. Mine has years of hard use on it and when I do carry it with me it is like having an old friend along for the day.

Spyderco Manix 2 XL

Some people just have to have the biggest and baddest knife that will fit in their pocket, and for this rare breed of wackos (I’m proudly in that group) they make the Spyderco Manix 2 XL. It is almost 4 inches of S30v super steel wrapped in G10 handles. It flicks open with authority and will dazzle even the most jaded gear-aholics!!!

Spyderco Resilience

If you want a big knife on a budget the Spyderco Resilience is the way to go. It has a G10 handles, the great Spyderco ergonomics, and a pretty decent Chinese Steel.

Leatherman Juice S2

The Leatherman Juice S2 is my go to multi tool to EDC. It might not have all of the gadgets of the bigger offerings but it rides almost unnoticed in a pocket until you need it. The anodized aluminum slabs can be had in a few different colors and it is a great example of form and function in my book.

I 100% recommend all of this gear. I’m an owner of all of them and they routinely ride in my pockets even after years of ownership!
