Country White Bread

Country White Bread Recipe

A Hearty Country White Bread is the perfect go to loaf for making in a bread machine. The oatmeal, honey, and sunflower seeds give it a bit of a nutty flavor and sweetness that goes well with almost any meal. You’ll find it hard not to eat the whole loaf with just butter! This loaf also lends itself well to sandwich making, as it holds up well to slicing. It is heavenly with a good homemade chicken salad on it.

This recipe is makes a 1 1/2 pound loaf. Use the White Bread Cycle on your machine.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup and 1 Tablespoon Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 2 Tablespoons Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Oatmeal
  • 3 Cups Bread Flour
  • 3/4 Cup Sunflower Seeds
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Quick Rise Yeast

Add all the ingredients in order and let the machine do all the work for you!

I think 2 teaspoons of salt would work better!
