Surefire G2X Pro Dual-Output LED Flashlight- Gear Review

I’ve wanted to do a write up on the Surefire G2X Pro Dual-Output LED Flashlight so here is my gear review.

I got this light for Christmas and it has become a staple of my Get HomeBag. It is light to carry and casts an amazing amount of light.

PRO’s- This flashlight weighs next to nothing yet blows away a 4D cell Mag-Lite when it comes to putting out light. The Dual Output is a lot nicer to have than I originally thought it would be. The 15 Lumens mode is enough light to do most tasks and can be used to navigate around in the dark. The 200 Lumens mode must really be seen to be believed, it is FREAKING bright! It is blinding and has to be taken seriously when it comes to not shining it in peoples eyes.

Con’s- My only beef with this flashlight is the plastic body. It keeps the weight down but takes away from the strength of the unit. I dropped this light already and it got dinged up. This doesn’t happen with the aluminum body lights.

I can recommend this light to anybody looking for a great flashlight that is easy to carry. It costs a bit less than the full on Tactical offerings from SureFire and is a great way to get into a high-end light at a relative bargain. I’d complain a bit about the 123A batteries but they are just the cost of doing business to get performance like this in a nice and light package.
