Lansky Puck Sharpener Review

Lansky Puck Sharpener

The Lansky Puck Sharpener is a neat little sharpener. With the end of the nice weather here, it was time to move some of my Backyard activities down into the basement (Don’t worry I won’t be renaming the blog, The Basement Pioneer that just brings up images of “Bring out The Gimp” from Pulp Fiction for me).

Why I Wanted To Test It Out

As an avowed lover of all things sharp and pointy (it might be a guy thing or my rebelling over sleeping in a pink bedroom, I’m not sure) I’ve embraced keeping them all nice and sharp. I’ll have to admit to not being too adept at sharpening axes. I bought the Lansky Puck Sharpener to help out with that.

Giving It A Go

I put my kindling axe into the vice and gave it a few passes with the Puck on each side. The directions call for using small circles while working the Puck back and forth, it was reminiscent of waxing a car for me (Yes, Daniel-son, wax on, wax off). The Puck worked just as advertised. I was left with a nice sharp hand axe in “no time flat”.

It Works!

If you’ve got some garden or out door tools that need an edge put back on them I’d recommend picking up The Puck!
